meet fetus kurzen!

hello ladies!!

now that i've finally talked to you all on the phone, i can post this with confidence :) this is our 8 week ultrasound. the lady doing it kept referring to it as "the little peanut", which we found hilarious. it is in fact the size of a peanut, and i love to eat peanuts right now - so it all works! :) fetus kurzen comes from spring break in nashville, when jen and liz would kindly ask me how fetus kurzen was doing. praise the Lord the real morning sickness didn't start til the weel after that!

girls - i'm the worst at this, my pregnancy brain has kicked in full swing, and i had to create a whole new account because i couldn't rememeber a bit of what i used before :) but, i'm going to try to add pics every time i can so all you in far away lands can see me get round :)

Meet My New Nephew!

On April 2, at 10:31, my new little nephew was born. My sister went into labor at about 9:00 Sunday evening and Grant didn't come until 10:30 Monday morning. I was able to be there and it was amazing. She did it without ANY pain-killers. Can you believe that! I always knew she had a high pain tolerance, but that's impressive. Anyway, I just wanted to share my good news. His name in Grant, he weighed 8lbs. 3oz., 19 in. long, has little bit of curl to his hair and is absolutely adorable. Here are a few pictures so you can see what I'm talking about. I am a pround aunt! Oh, by the way my sister Kendra is having another boy in July. When she has the baby, the boys will finally out number the girls in the family!

well, i'm in, and so happy to be :) sorry it's taken so long - life is busy with a capital B :) i wish that i had some sweet shopping story to share, but i honestly have not been since i was with you all!! so sad! i will say, that those $5 men's skater shoes that jen and i got at old navy are still coming through for me - i love bragging on the deal when people compliment them :) and... shout out to kendra and jean - whenever i wear the bracelet and necklace you two gave me, i get compliments and think lovingly of you :) reading over this, i sound really egocentric, but hey... it's the inner sanctum, if we can't brag here, where can we? :) i love you all so much and can't wait for life to slow down so i can go shopping and have some super deal to share!

Ok, I figured it out! I had to get a brand new user name and everything, so I'll no longer be Aunt Kendra on our blog site:) This is cool that we have this! Thanks for setting it up, Amanda! Quick shopping update: I thought I had gotten a decent deal at the Gap on pants - I got the same style in khaki and black. They were $24 - nothing wonderful except that they're normally thirty-something. Anywho...I wore them a few times and the khaki ones started to rip in the crotch! So, I took them back and the sales lady said that 2-3 other people have returned the same pants with the same problem! Beware the Gap...

God has a sense of humor!!

Hey friends! Well, I have good news! We finally sold our condo!! The funny part is that we close March 2nd. Yes, only 2 1/2 weeks away!!! If that wasn't short time in itself, Dan and I will be on vacation skiing in CO for 6 of those days!!! So...we basically have one week to pack up our condo and fill in holes in the wall and paint back over them:). Anyway...it's obviously God's timing and we are thankful for that!

Oh...some may be wondering where are we going to live...well we don't know! We're hoping to buy a house very soon! We don't want to rush into it and just buy anything, but our realtor said that if we buy one soon that is vacant we could close on it March 2nd. That would be ideal so that we don't have to move everything 2 times. Please pray for us! I don't want to get stressed and want this to be a fun time!

Also pray for our healthiness and not getting sick. It seems everytime we move we get sick! Also pray for me as we're going skiing in CO...I could die:). I'm a little nervous. I'm also nervous about getting altitude sickness...you know me and pucking. Anyway...just wanted to share this with you. Seriously, we will be packing this weekend and would loooove any help:). You're more than welcome to come!

I'm finally set up!

Hey girls, this is my first posting ever! I hope it turns out okay! So...I must tell you...remember the fun blue shirt with white and red flowers that I got at Forever 21 (for those you who weren't at the girls weekend, I got a fun blue shirt with white and red flowers)...well I wore it yesterday with a white shirt on underneath and everyone loved it!! It was a great purchase. Since it flares out, I didn't feel constricted like I tend to feel sometimes since I have large hips:). Anyway...just needed to share the joys of my purchase!! Oh...and Dan pointed out that on the bottom of my Forever 21 bag, it says John 3:16. Isn't that cool?? Love you guys!

Mold...and more mold

Okay ladies,

I am sorry for not making it up to the girls weekend.. : ( At first I thought I had to work, but then I did not have to work so I was looking forward to coming up on Sunday. Well Sunday morning came and our basement was FLOODED!!! Apparently the sump pump turned off in the middle of night. We called our lovely landlord and he showed up a few hours later and supposedly fixed the problem. However, we spent most of the day moving items from the basement upstairs. Well Monday rolled around and my roommate noticed that the sump pump again stopped working. It was a MESS. Then we found mold on our walls upstairs so we had to move everything in the house. I wanted to cry. (Kelly I thought of you and I was thinking that I would have filed a lawsuit if I had asthma). Anyhow, it is much better now, although we are getting our basement pressure washed and sealed this weekend and can't be in the house for a few days!! Other than that, not too much is new!! I wish I had great news....but I don't. When I figure out this whole picture deal, I will post a picture of me with longer hair... ; )love you all

Well ladies, here it is. Our very own blog so we all can stay in touch a little bit better. The idea came during girls weekend. At first we thought we could use it to share stories about amazing purchases(we all love a great clearance find, don't we), but then we thought we could expand it and simply use it to keep in touch.
